Sounds From The Belly Of The Beast is a live recording of a site specific instrumental music piece written and performed by Jackson Haley and John Plunkett for The Beast, a large sculpture by artist John Preus, installed at the Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, MA.
The piece was rehearsed as a skeleton of an idea, and came together with small improvisations and experiments during the live performance.
Recorded live inside The Beast on March 22nd, 2018.
Many thanks to John Preus, Michele L'Heureux, Nathan Lewis, Ethan Berry, Tim Gerth, Chelsea MacDowell and John Plunkett for helping make this performance and recording possible.
